While it breaks my heart to tear down two trees, it is really nice knowing that our basement will have a chance of survival! The tree roots had not been very nice to the foundation of our house. Another bonus? We can see out of our windows now!! It's great!
Auntie Lu was nice enough to pass some peony plants and day lilies my way so I think in one of the corners I'll plant a little garden. I love peonies and the ones we had in our back yard seem to have gotten mowed over. :( I think they will be safer here!
